Prayers for Judy Held

Judy Held had visual problems last week which after evaluation were found to be due to a detached retina. Surgery will be this Wednesday 1 May 2019. It was delayed a bit in order to stabilize an on-going cardiac rhythm problem.

May our good Lord take care of our good sister Judy, grant her an uneventful procedure and recovery, and restore her sight. AMEN

Nora Alastra’s mother, Judy Pippenger, for whom we started praying around three years ago after she started having trouble with repeated falls, has developed a skin infection on her jaw.

May our gracious God hasten the healing of this infection without further complications for this splendid lady. AMEN
Our rector David has been sick this week and has been unable to come to the office.
May God speed his recovery so that he can join us for Easter services. AMEN
Yashira Hornedo’s Uncle Luis has had an excellent recovery from his heart attack and will be discharged home soon.
Thanks be to God. AMEN

Update on Jon Kidd, Judy Held’s Nephew

As you may recall, Judy Held’s 35 y/o nephew, Jon Kidd, with a bowel obstruction as a very late complication of a past colectomy had a surgical attempt to release it about two weeks ago.

Today Judy reports that, while it looked as it he would go home today, he may well have developed another obstruction. He might need additional bowel resection.
May the good Lord correct and lift this condition from Jon and save him from any more bowel resection and intestinal loss and suffering. AMEN

Prayers for Yashira Hornedo’s uncle.

Yashira asks prayers for her uncle who is currently in a Florida hospital ICU after suffering his second heart attack this year.

May God grant this man a smooth uncomplicated recovery from this situation, and may He also grant Yashira and her family peace of mind as they deal with the contingent uncertainties of clinical events such as these. AMEN

New Prayer Request

Roberta Clark asks for prayers for the mother of Jason Hearb, Roberta’s daughter Abby’s friend.

Sadly, this older woman is seriously ill with several problems and appears to be nearing the end.
May God grant this woman a merciful end and support her son and the rest of the family during this sad time. AMEN

Prayers for Jon Kidd

Judy Held asks for prayers for her 35 y/o nephew Jon Kidd who has a bowel obstruction probably due to adhesions from previous surgery. If there is no resolution surgery should take place later today (2 April) or possibly tomorrow.

May our merciful God restore this man to good functioning health without resort to the knife and possibly having additional bowel removed. AMEN

ALMIGHTY AND EVERLIVING GOD: Accept our prayers for these people afflicted and troubled with unhealthiness in their bodies, or in their hearts and souls, or in their minds and spirits. In Your Mercy, Lord, relieve them of and release them from their burdens; and grant them patience under their sufferings. And, if it be Thy Merciful and Loving Will, grant them an expedient and happy outcome from their trials. We ask all this in the Name of Your Son Jesus Christ, Who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, One God, now and forever. AMEN
