Geoff Thrall and Jack Keefer

By now many, but not all of you, have heard of Geoff Thrall’s death on November 17, 2021. How profoundly sad, especially in the wake of Bobbie’s death a few months ago.
May God grant his soul peace and may He support Geoff’s family and friends as they mourn. AMEN

Our rector writes tonight with the sad news of Jack Keefer’s death:
“A very long-time member of St. Peter’s Church, Jack Keefer, died on Friday, November 26th at Kobacker House with his family around him. I spoke with Mary, one of Jack’s daughters today; Jack had been living at her house and had long suffered breathing difficulties. He will be cremated and be placed in the wall-vault at St. Peter’s with Jack’s wife, Mary Ann, who died sometime around 2011. Jack was instrumental in leading the ministry of the columbarium and the Memorial Garden at St. Peter’s Church for the first 15 years or so, and was involved in so many other ministries at St. Peter’s and in the community.

Jack’s obituary should be out tonight or tomorrow.

The family plans a memorial service in the Spring of 2022.

The Children’s Library at St. Peter’s was dedicated to the memory of Jack’s wife, Mary Ann Keefer, on November 2nd, 2011, just one of many things the Keefers contributed to the church in mission and ministry.

Please keep the family and friends of Jack in your prayers.

Rest eternal grant to Jack, O Lord, and let light perpetual shine upon him. May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful, departed through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.”
