Geoff Thrall writes to update us on Bobbie (in his own words):
“She had a restful and stable night. Today they’ve increased the diuretic and she is producing more urine. This helps get the fluid out of her lungs. Her 02 level is good and stable, so they infer that fluid is indeed coming off the lungs. They were also able to take her off the kidney harmful BP medication [vasopressor/inotropic drugs to improve her cardiac output and maintain adequate blood pressure], and her BP is remaining stable.
“They plan to take her off the BiPAP breathing machine [a device between a continuous positive pressure device (think sleep apnea treatments) and a full on ventilator requiring intubation] and put her on a conventional nasal cannula. If the 02 holds up, they’ll leave the mask off. These are all good things to make her more comfortable.
“Thank you all for your notes and prayers. Keep them coming. God Bless, Geoff”
Thanks be to God. AMEN
